Definition of Statistics:-
Statistics is the arithmetic, algebraic and geometrical process of probabilistic, proportional and inductive theory formulation for the analysis of small or large numerical data or data collected on the basis of representative sample through prescribed study methods from the point of view of the desired study in relation to any person, object, place, event, creature, situation and/or their groups or any study subject and for obtaining comprehensive and meaningful results in the context of user's study subjects through scientific research.

सांख्यिकी की संक्षिप्त परिभाषा :-
सांख्यिकी किसी अध्ययन विषय के सम्बन्ध में अपेक्षित अध्ययन हेतु निर्धारित अध्ययन विधियों के द्वारा प्रतिनिधि नमूने या नमूना विशेष के आधार पर एकत्रित संख्यात्मक आँकड़ों या प्रदत्तों के विश्लेषण एवं वैज्ञानिक अनुसंधान से प्रयोक्ता के अध्ययन विषयों के सन्दर्भ में समग्र तथा सारगर्भित परिणाम प्राप्ति हेतु अनुमानिक, आनुपातिक, आगमनात्मक निर्णयण की बहु आयामी गणितीय प्रक्रिया है।
