वाणिज्य वास्तव में मानव के पारस्परिक हित साधन हेतु स्व संकल्प युक्त; चर या स्थिर प्रकृति का; बौद्धिक, आर्थिक या किसी अन्य चुनौतियों के प्रति सजग; प्रायः प्रत्यक्ष या अप्रत्यक्ष हानि-लाभ की अपेक्षा दूरगामी परिणाम में विश्वास; सेवा, सहयोग एवं स्वावलम्बन की भावना से प्रेरित; विगत अनुभवों एवं भविष्य के हित में वर्त्तमान समायोजन; आवश्यकता, उपलब्धता, उत्पादन, विपणन एवं तकनीक बोध सम्पन्न; श्रम, संघर्ष, धैर्य, साहस, आत्मविश्वास और आत्मनिर्भरता से प्रभावित; अपेक्षित प्रगति उन्मुख; सकारात्मक, रचनात्मक, व्यवहारिक एवं आत्महितैषी निर्णय है‌।
