होमियोपैथी में पोलीकृष्ट, पैलिएटिव, फालोवर, कम्प्लीमेन्ट्री, प्रतिषेधक, मियाज्मेटिक औषधियों की चर्चा होती है, परन्तु इन औषधियों में से यदि किसी औषधि का रोगी की लक्षण समष्टि से संगतता नहीं हो या वे औषधियाँ रोगी के तात्कालिक कष्ट निवारण में भले ही कमाल हासिल कर ले, लेकिन वह औषधि उस रोगी हेतु औषधि कहलाने का अधिकारी नहीं होगी। भले ही केन्ट के मतानुसार होमियोपैथिक दवायें बन्दूक की गोली के समान होती हैं जो या तो लक्ष्य बेध कर जाती हैं अथवा बगल से होकर गुजर जाती हैं, लेकिन मेरे समझ में आता है कि गोली चलाने वालों को यह ध्यान में रखना आवश्यक है कि बगल के आम लोग का गोली की आवाज से कहीं दिल दहल न जाय।
अतः इस तरह रोगी की की जा रही होमियोपैथिक चिकित्सा "रोगी केन्द्रित चिकित्सा" न होकर वास्तव में "रोग केन्द्रित चिकित्सा" ही होगी।

In homeopathy, there is discussion of polycrest, palliative, follower, complementary, antidotal, and miasmatic remedies. However, if any of these remedies do not correspond to the totality of the patient's symptoms, or even if they provide remarkable relief from the patient's immediate suffering, that remedy will not be considered the appropriate medicine for that patient. Although Kent believed that homeopathic medicines are like bullets from a gun, which either hit the target or miss it completely, I believe it is essential for those administering the medicine to consider that the sound of the bullet might frighten innocent bystanders.
Therefore, homeopathic treatment administered in this manner will not be "patient-centered therapy" but rather "disease-centered therapy.
